How it Works
At home or at school all you need is broadband, a computer and somewhere quiet to work. You can be in London, L.A., Kuala Lumpur, Shanghai, Tokyo - wherever you want to learn. Your tutor is an experienced expert in your subject and a very good teacher who will work with you in real time.
“Instruction does much, but encouragement everything”
Goethe (Letter to A.F. Oeser, Nov. 9, 1768)
Our Virtual Classroom
Chosen for its ease-of use, our platform has a real-time whiteboard with unlimited ‘pages’ and a resources cupboard where we upload documents, web pages, hand-written homework, exam papers and so on. Password-protected, it is always open to student and tutor. Have a look around a live demonstration classroom.Request access to the demo site
Amy's handwritten answer discussed
Amy uses her phone to scan and upload her handwritten answer to our online whiteboard. We take plenty of tutorial time to understand how to improve the structure and detail of the answer. (Classroom teachers would love to do this with every student but they just haven't got time)
Using the whiteboard
Part of a straightforward lesson about Corporate Objectives, using the whiteboard in real time - tutor writes& explains, student sees at once
Kim's planning notes
Kim and her tutor keep a careful record of their plans, work done and resources. This is vital for when they are looking for something they have done and their virtual classroom has reached, say, page 150!
Analysing data in Maxim's exam paper
Maxim and his tutor go through the data given in the exam paper making sure Max knows how to do the calculations, what they mean and how to use the results in his essays.
Whether you are a bright student in a slow class, or falling behind at school, or home-schooled, or have learning problems, or just a perfectly normal student; you want help to get the best grade you can.
After discussing what you need we have a one-hour trial tutorial to see how we get on, which you don't pay for unless you choose to continue. If we do continue, we will keep in step with your progress at school, or put together a complete course schedule if need be. Your tutorials will be carefully prepared and you will receive progress notes afterwards, and a report at the end of term.
